Copper

Copper is mined from sulphide and oxide deposits. Our sorters can treat feeds from both types of ores based on different physical properties at feed rates of up to 300t/h.

The sorter type applied for upgrading of copper ore depends on the mineralogical characteristics of the ore. Properties like conductivity and atomic density (sulphide deposits) and color (oxide deposits) are the most common to be utilized. Depending on liberation feed sizes between -300/+20mm can be fed to the sorters.

Applications range from

  • Dump re-treatment
  • Run-of-mine pre-concentration
  • To upgrading of pebbles in milling circuits

In a typical size range of -80/+20mm our sorters can treat up to 80t/h with availabilities exceeding 95%.
