Slag

Slag products from metallurgical operations have to be treated to recover lost metal. Our sorters recover these metals in a dry process without generation of slimes and waste water. In addition, un-liberated metal particles can be recovered, reducing the energy and wear required for liberating the metal.

The sorter type utilized for the recovery of metal from slag depends on the type of metal that has to be recovered. Properties like conductivity and atomic density are the most common to be utilized.

• Ferrochrome slag 
• Ferrosilicon slag
• Stainless steel slag
• Copper slag 

In a typical size range of -40+15mm our sorters can treat up to 40t/h with availabilities exceeding 95%.
